FA Cross Country Girls!
By Joe Nichols November 18, 2019
North Country Cross Country Teams throughout the North Country braved the cold and snow on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at SUNY Plattsburgh, to compete at the NYSPHSAA Championship Meet. The Norwood-Norfolk boys and girls cross-country teams dominated Section 10 all year, so it was no surprise that the Norwood-Norfolk girls and boys teams both finished eight in their respective races in Class C. Canton girls were 10th in the Class B race, and the Brushton-Moira boys team came in 10th in Class D.
Madelyn Dinneen, who absolutely dominated the cross country Section 10 courses this season finished strong with an eight place run of 17 minutes and 27 seconds.
But I am very partial to the FA Girls.

Bethany Poirier (20:56.1), Mattison Garland (21:47.7), Magdalene Nichols, (22:12.2), Wynonia Lawrence (22:22.1), and Emma Perez (23:44.4), along with Coach Chad Lawrence acquitted themselves very well on the cold, snowy, muddy, slushy course. Great congratulations to all the runners from the schools that participated. It was great fun to watch.
